I have found a good calculator actually and hope to do this ourselves now (it's more about keeping the wife happy as well).

I am now altering for the Canadian market. The only thing that would help is knowing some of the assumptions as I realise Garbage In Garbage Out.

Do you know of any good sites for data such as average stock yields, ave bond yield, inflation predictions etc etc.? Ultimately it is the model and good input assumptions that are needed. As you will see from the excel assumptions list there are a lot here.

I've really just related my experience with IG ... I actually know somebody who's really happy with them. You will end up paying more fees than if you do it yourself!

I'm not too mcuh into calculators ... I simply try to maximize my savings :-)

And I don't know any advisors myself :-(
