I've never seen one on a debit purchase. The only time I've seen them is if I go over my monthly "free" transaction limit, but that's not specific to debit purchases, it's all outgoing transactions on my checking account (which is no longer a problem now that I bank with PC).<BR/><BR/>2 - Overdraft fees. This is what I call the "Blind spender tax". If you pay attention to your finances, this should never, ever happen.<BR/><BR/>3 - Online Theft. I didn't even know you could use a debit card for online shopping. The author is right, of course, always use a CC for this (especially now that CC companies have special online cards with extra security features, like an independent security check).
