The Cost of Baby Diapers
It's pretty incredible how many diapers a baby goes through in his early months. The cost of it has transformed us in coupons "clippers" :-) . One place where I found "easy" coupons is on save.ca, a convenient online coupons site that mails you the coupons you've selected. We've also been scouting the weekly fliers, but I can't believe how much paper is wasted with the amount we receive each week. I've also found, but not tried, a site where people discuss rebates and exchange coupons!
Since you're asking, we're using the Pampers Swaddlers which really do a good job at preventing nuclear explosions spills! They do happen do be amongst the most expensive (except if you go with the organic types!).

Have you ever thought of using cloth diapers? That's what we use and it's genius. It is more expensive from the outset, but it pays off in the end. Yeah you do more laundry, but it isn't that much work. And the new versions like Kushies and Fuzzy Bunz aren't like Grandma's old cloth diapers. They are velcro or snap self-fastening adjustable diapers.
We recouped our cost easily within 6 months of using them, and we will be able to reuse these for the next baby (due in May).
We had considered using washable diapers before our son was born but decided to opt for the easiest alternative at least for the short term. We felt we did not want to add something more to learn or do for the first few months of having our new baby. We might consider washable diapers a bit more down the line depending on whether we feel we have time to do so... It is a great alternative indeed though I wonder about the absorbency. Our baby tends to be good at giving us little surprises that go through diapers!
Actually, washable diapers can be as absorbant as paper diapers... Just need to select de right brand for you... There is bambou diaper that is as absorbant as paper. Also, nappies are more reliable than paper for the messes... It keeps what needs to stay inside inside! :-p
There is Omaïki, AMP, Fuzzy Bunz, Bumgenius...
I second Pharmadaaddy, cloth diapers are the only way to go. Do the math and it becomes a no-brainer.
