newborn: so much stuff to think about

Since we've just had our new baby boy (what an experience!), I will soon have to start thinking about all the paper work and the financial stuff:
- SIN application
- Ontario registration
- federal "baby money"
- RESPs
- add the baby as a dependent on my insurance
- etc.

The good thing is these topics have been discussed a lot at different PF blogs ...

ok, back to sleep now :-)

We've just gone through this with our son (he's now 3 weeks old). There's a definite order to how you have to do things, though - you can't set up an RESP without a SIN, and you can't get a SIN without a birth certificate. Some provinces take a LOT longer to process birth certificates than others, unfortunately.
